Kollabio is founded
Founded in Virginia to help federal agencies and commercial enterprises design and deliver better digital services.
We're a design and engineering firm in Virginia. Since 2015 we've worked with federal agencies and commercial enterprises, and we only take on work we know we can deliver.
We design and engineer the systems people use to do mission work, with AI where it measurably helps and people in charge of the decisions.
We don't sell hours — we deliver capability. Our engagements pair designers and engineers from the start, so research, architecture, and shipped software move together.
We go after programs that fit our capabilities, our experience, and our values, even when that means staying small for a while.
Leave every team better than we found it.
It guides how we treat each other, how we work with clients, and what we hand over when an engagement ends.
Most failed programs I've seen failed the same three ways. They lost sight of what the customer needed, they staffed the wrong people, and they measured the wrong things. And too many firms bid on work they couldn't deliver.
I started Kollabio in 2015 to get those three things right, and to take on only the work we can deliver. The name comes from collaboration: with the customer, inside the team, and with the people who will use what we build.

Early on, we pursued every RFP to keep revenue coming in, and we hired people who didn't fit. Now we choose our pursuits and hire for fit, even when that keeps us small.
Not every call has been right. We want everyone who works here to leave with stronger skills than they arrived with.
Everyone here has a life outside work. At work, we're a team with one goal.
What you can hold us to, whatever the contract type or size.
We start with the people doing the work and design the whole system around them, not point tools that solve one problem and create three. We judge success by adoption, not by delivery.
Designers and engineers work side by side from day one, and we work in the open with your team: shared backlogs, shared demos, no handoffs behind a curtain.
Security, Section 508 accessibility, ethics, and audit-ready documentation are engineering requirements from the first release, not a phase at the end.
AI works as a teammate, not a replacement. We design where the tool acts and where the person decides, build systems that improve the longer people use them, and say so when AI isn't the right tool.
We've delivered for federal agencies and commercial enterprises since 2015. We bring senior expertise, real past performance, and the contract vehicles to start quickly.
We've delivered as prime and as subcontractor for the USDA Forest Service, CMS, HHS, NIH, NIST, NOAA, GSA, the Department of Labor, USAID, a federal defense agency, Fannie Mae, Georgia State University, and a commercial software company.
Every program we've performed has a final CPARS rating of Exceptional. Past-performance details and references are available on request.
GSA MAS, GSA OASIS+ through Kotech Digital LLC, NASA SEWP VI, and SBA EADS, plus SBA 8(a) certification.
The people who scope your program are the people who deliver it. We stay small and senior on purpose.
Independent recognition for how we treat our people and how we've grown.
